Study Design & Population

The clinical evaluation was conducted by GSC Anti-Aging Lab, Global Standard Certification Co., Ltd., and examined the immediate effects of combining SMAS Lifting Collagen Ampoule Mist with SMAS Lifting Massage Band on facial contour and multiple indicators of skin quality.

  • Study population: 22 healthy adult female participants aged 19–65.
  • Average participant age: 57.0 ± 3.8 years.
  • Principal Investigator: Hyun-Sook Lee, M.D., Dermatologist.
  • Clinical testing institution: GSC Anti-Aging Lab, Global Standard Certification Co., Ltd.
  • Sponsoring organization: Welborn Co., Ltd.
  • Study period: September 30, 2024 – November 22, 2024.
  • Clinical report reference: GSCL1-24-0256 KR.
  • Treatment duration: One-time, 10-minute combined application.

Treatment Protocol & Evaluation Criteria

Participants received a single combined application of SMAS Lifting Collagen Ampoule Mist and SMAS Lifting Massage Band.

The collagen ampoule mist was sprayed evenly across the face 4–5 times from a distance of 10–20 cm and gently patted into the skin. The SMAS Lifting Massage Band was then positioned over targeted facial areas, including the chin, jowls, and cheeks, for a 10-minute treatment.

Clinical measurements were collected before and immediately after application using specialized imaging and skin-analysis instruments.

Evaluation criteria included:

  • Facial contour: Double chin volume, cheek sagging angle, and jowl sagging angle.
  • Dermal density: Skin density measurements using the DUB SkinScanner (22 MHz).
  • Pore appearance: Pore area, maximum depth, mean volume, and distribution count.
  • Skin elasticity: Elasticity factor (R2), measured using the Cutometer® MPA 580.
  • Skin transparency: Measurements using the Translucency Meter TLS855.

All measurements were conducted in a controlled environment following a 30-minute acclimatization period. Statistical significance was evaluated using paired t-tests or Wilcoxon signed-rank tests, with significance established at p < 0.05.

Clinical Significance & Instrumental Findings

The study demonstrated statistically significant immediate improvements across all ten measured efficacy parameters following one 10-minute application.

Notable findings included a 26.50% reduction in double chin volume, a 13.66% reduction in jowl sagging angle, and a 9.79% reduction in cheek sagging angle. Skin elasticity increased by 16.10%, while dermal skin density increased by 12.58%.

The evaluation also measured four distinct pore characteristics, with reductions in mean pore area (32.09%), maximum pore depth (25.52%), mean pore volume (37.23%), and pore distribution count (34.94%).

These findings provide instrumental evidence of immediate changes in facial contour and measured skin-quality characteristics following the combined use of the SMAS Lifting Collagen Ampoule Mist and Massage Band.

Physician Conclusions & Safety Evaluation

The clinical evaluation was conducted under dermatologist supervision, with instrumental measurements and dermatological assessments used to evaluate treatment efficacy and skin tolerance.

Dermatologist evaluations assessed visible signs of irritation, including erythema, edema, and scaling. Participants also completed self-assessments evaluating itching, stinging, burning, tightness, and prickling sensations.

No adverse reactions or signs of skin irritation were reported or observed during the study period, indicating favorable skin tolerability under the tested conditions.

All ten instrumental efficacy measurements demonstrated statistically significant changes following the single combined application.
